Chart

• Improved cell padding for fields for wider chart boxes to improve the consistency between OrgPlus Enterprise and OrgPlus Enterprise Modeler
• Improved chart navigation for Multi-record boxes
• The cell visibility option to hide cells when a condition is now accurately applied to Multi-record boxes

Summary

OrgPlus Enterprise 4.4

This is a minor release of OrgPlus Enterprise that supports Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 platforms. In addition to the updated platform support, this version of OrgPlus Enterprise also includes multiple enhancements to the publishing capabilities as well as critical application bug fixes.

Enhancements/Resolutions:

Archive

• Archive comparison can now be used with NTLM and LDAP Single Sign On

Blueprint

• When using external writeback, actioned blueprints are not overwritten when multiple blueprints are actioned within 1 minute of each other.
• Picture box backgrounds are now correctly published from within Blueprint
• Changes are correctly saved when using the Save command after having first created a new Blueprint using Save As
• Boxes with an expand/collapse icon no longer appear taller than their peers; all peers have uniform height

Chart

• Subordinates of multi-record boxes are correctly preserved when navigating the chart
• Contents of a multi-record box display correctly when the box layout positions the sub-box element between other fields in the multi-record box layout

Directory

• Resolved error preventing users from exporting more than 121 fields from the Directory

Domain

• Remove Trailing Spaces option now correctly removes trailing spaces from the end of field values
• Field category is correctly set for money fields when importing data from Excel, ODBC and SQL Server data source adapters

Language

• Tab contents appear in French when viewing charts in Firefox browsers
• Removed unavailable languages from product UI

OrgTree

• Box counts are now correctly displayed in the OrgTree

Platform

• OrgPlus Enterprise can now be run on Windows Server 2008 R2
• OrgPlus Enterprise application database can now be run on SQL Server 2008 R2
• OrgPlus Enterprise has now been fully tested with Internet Explorer 9

Printing

• Picture box backgrounds no longer disappear after opening the print dialog

Profiles

• Adding a new field to a profile automatically adds the field to all templates that use that profile

Publishing

• Page numbers can now be added to charts published to PDF and PowerPoint
• Charts published to PowerPoint can be inserted into PowerPoint presentations as OrgPlus OLE objects and edited directly in OrgPlus desktop products
• End users can use files created in PowerPoint 2007 and 2010 as template files when publishing charts in OPE and Blueprint
• Improved scaling of master page elements in charts published to PDF and PowerPoint
• End users can no longer attempt to sub-chart published charts using fields restricted by their role
• Font scaling improved in charts published to PowerPoint
• Box sizing improved in charts published to PDF and PowerPoint

Refresh

• Domain refresh no longer hangs up when 'Creating Indexes' is displayed in the Admin UI
• Domain refresh failure resolved for domains with Oracle or SQL Server data source adapters and do not refresh fields

Security

• Resolved server error with message the given key was not present in the dictionary when the chart user ID field is numeric and exceeds 6 characters
• Users identified as Blueprint administrators no longer have access to all succession plans
• Chinese characters can now be used in Filters
• Resolved server error with message value cannot be null when applying role rules
• Access to the change password feature in the chart module has been removed from external users, as OrgPlus Enterprise cannot actually change these users' passwords.

Succession

• Members of the Success Pool are correctly displayed in the Tree panel in Succession Plans

System Tools

• When the Usage Log exceeds 10000 rows, the application automatically removes the oldest 1000 records instead of the most recent 1000 rows
• Refresh logs correctly report file permission errors that occur when domains are scheduled to refresh automatically

Templates

• The Include Prefix option for master page elements in templates is correctly interpreted in OrgPlus Enterprise
• Hyperlinked static text in Profile templates is correctly interpreted in OrgPlus Enterprise

URL Interface

• Boxes selections specified using the URL interface are now correctly selected in Firefox browsers
• The URL interface can now better handle URL parameters with Null values

Known Issues and limitations

Blueprint

• Box Shadows are lost when saving Blueprints as OPX files and printing charts
• Sort settings in a view are not persisted in Blueprints that contain Multi-record boxes
• The F5 page refresh is not supported when editing Blueprints
• Transparent chart backgrounds in OPE views are not preserved in Blueprints
• Hyperlinked static text in Profiles is not preserved in Blueprints

Publishing

• Chart styles and formatting that use the actual chart level are incorrect when publishing sub-charts to PDF and PowerPoint, as this level information is not correctly translated by the application
• Sub-charts are displayed differently in the published chart when sub-chart labels are included in published charts
• Unexpected results can occur when publishing charts to PowerPoint using a template file with paper size and orientation that do not match the settings specified by the end user in the Publish to PowerPoint dialog

Succession

• When a Person ID field is identified in the data source, that field is always used to identify successors during succession plan import. If a user does not have access to the Person ID field, no successors will be imported into new plans.
• The F5 page refresh is not supported when editing Succession Plans

Templates

• Branch styles for multi-record boxes in OrgPlus Enterprise do not match Multi-record box branch styles in templates
• Word wrap limits are not consistently respected; limiting word wrap to 4 lines does not always wrap text to 4 lines

Summary

OrgPlus Enterprise 4.3.1

This is a patch release of OrgPlus Enterprise that resolves several critical issues.

Enhancements/Resolutions

Archive

• Resolved issue with chart data not being displayed after refreshing a domain multiple times between archive captures.
• Resolved issue with chart data not being removed after refreshing a domain multiple times between archive captures.
• Resolved issue resulting in Primary Key Violation during refresh process when executing refresh immediately following a prior failed refresh.

Succesion

• Resolved issue with chart data being incorrectly written back to domain from succession plans in domains using position management and succession plan write-back
• Resolved issue with succession plans losing position and reports to data during refresh in domains using OPX or SAP data source adapters.

Refresh

• Resolved issue making refresh settings inaccessible in domains using OPX or SAP data source adapters.
• Enhanced refresh process to prevent against null reference exceptions while calculating formulas.

Summary

OrgPlus Enterprise 4.3

This minor release of OrgPlus Enterprise provides compatibilty with OrgPlus 9 templates and OPX files, and introduces an administrative logging feature to help track what changes were made to the system and who made those changes.z

Enhancements/Resolutions

Auditing

• OrgPlus Enterprise can now maintain a log of specific administrator actions for auditing purposes

Blueprint

• OPX files exported from Blueprint can now be saved in the OrgPlus 9 format
• Correct chart is now displayed when initially opening blueprints with a data island that is larger than the chart used to create the blueprint

Domain

• Domain data sources can now be created from OrgPlus 9 OPX files
• The copy domain function can be used with domains utlizing the position management data model
• Multiple fields can now be selected and moved in the Assign Fields dialog instead of having to assign fields one by one
• Disabled checkboxes in the refresh column of the Fields table have been replaced with "Yes" and "No" text
• Field type identification in the SAP data source adapters has been improved
• Corrected excel adapter support for field names with apostrophes
• Timestamp used to identify domains is now generated directly from the database instead of the IIS polling mechanism

Platform

• OrgPlus Enterprise now requires the Oracle Data Provider .NET 2.0 v11.2.0.1.2

Refresh

• Pending changes to archived data are correctly cleaned-up when refresh process terminates unexpectedly
• New fields added to data source with names that are already in use in the domain, are not imported during refresh. A message is appended to the refresh log listing the improper fields
• Refresh on installations using Oracle as an application database has been improved to nearly that of installations using SQL Server as an application database

Savings and Publishing

• OPX files saved from OrgPlus Enterprise can now be saved in the OrgPlus 9 format
• Field names of domain fields secured using a filter no longer appear in published PowerPoint charts

Security

• OrgPlus Enterprise now supports manual criteria entry for role rule definition; this provides greater flexibility in defining the precedence for defining rules

Succession

• Committed date has been added to the Succession Plan write-back log to show the date the data modifications were written back to the domain
• OrgPlus Enterprise now warns users if the top position of a new plan does not match the top position of a plan that is going to be imported
• OrgPlus Enterprise now imnports successors into a new plan even if the successors are not included in the hierarchy of the new plan
• The succession plan import options have been moved to a second tab in the New Succession Plan dialog
• Correct chart is now displayed when initially opening succession plans with a data island that is larger than the chart used to create the succession plan

Templates

• OrgPlus Enterprise can now upload/download OrgPlus 9 template files
• OrgPlus Enterprise now warns administrators when the fields in an uploaded template file do not match the fiel type or field category defined in the domain
• Formula rounding options defined in templates are now correctly applied to formula calculations in OrgPlus Enterprise
• Hyperlink formatting defined in templates are now correctly applied in chart boxes

Known Issues and limitations

Chart

• Chart layout displays incorrectly when chart rules are defined in the template file and automatic branch styles is not enabled

Blueprint

• Pictures in merged, multi-field cells in boxes do not scale correctly in Blueprints

Domain

• Smart fields in OPX data sources are not supported in OrgPlus Enterprise
• Domains cannot be created from OPX files that use Percentage type constants
• The Text file data source adapter does not identify field types correctly; an ODBC connection with a schema file should be used when importing data from a text file

Saving and Publishing

• OrgPlus Enterprise modeler does not support the OrgPlus 9 file format
• Warning message appears in OrgPlus Enterprise Modeler when sending charts to modeler with OrgPlus 8 file type

Security

• End users cannot change passwords when external security authentication source

Succession

• Successors imported into a succession plan that do not exist in the hierarchy do not appear in the tree view
• Server Error occurrs when copying a domain with succession planning and N-box is not configured

Template

• Box shadows with direction right-up do not display correctly in charts
• Smart fields in template files are not supported in OrgPlus Enterprise

Enhancements/Resolutions:

Blueprint

• Orphan records are no longer connected to the top of the chart when exporting the entire chart and orphans to OPX.
• Error message is now appropriately cleared after closing the Publish to PowerPoint dialog.
• The "Make Top" feature in blueprint no longer prevents the entire chart from publishing correctly.

Domains

• Fields that marked as do not refresh fields cannot be re-assigned to different entities after the initial assignment has been made.
• Domains with position management enabled cannot be copied.

Directory

• Search results are correctly displayed when searching from within SAP portal.

Refresh

• Refresh process now correctly refreshes installations with 10 or more domains.

Succession

• The import succession plan process now correctly identifies successors by person ID when a person ID is specified in the domain.
• The import dialog is not closed when saving the import log.

Saving & Publishing

• Using formula fields to define the table of contents no longer prevents the publishing process from failing to complete.
• Indexes are now correctly added to published charts when cover pages and tables of contents are excluded.
• Formula fields are no longer miscalculated in published charts.

Known Issues

Archive

• Error occurs during compare report generation if first field in the chart box is not a text field

Blueprint

• Action Blueprint process fails when a new box saved to a blueprint is deleted during a later session; this does not occur if the new box is saved and deleted within the same session.
• Master page elements are not transferred from OPE to Blueprints.
• Mapped fields do not display in blueprints if mapping entries do not match the case of the data.

Chart

• Multiple alternate reporting arrows appear in MRBs that contain multiple matrix employees

Saving & Publishing

• Peer grouping in views is not preserved when charts are saved as OPX, sent to modeler or published to PPT and PDF
• Formula fields hidden in boxes using the 'hide if 0' feature appear in published charts.

Summary

OrgPlus Enterprise 4.0.2. This is a patch release of OrgPlus Enterprise 4.0 intended to resolve issues related to matrix managers, publishing photos to PDF and PowerPoint and succession planning administration.

Enhancements/Resolutions:

Archive

• When a single new person is added to multiple managers in a chart based on a person person-to-person hierarchy, the compare report now records each reporting relationship as a separate addition to the chart.
• Comparison reports now report changes for hierarchies using strings in the position and reports to columns.

Data Source

• Matrix managers' primary reporting relationships are assigned according to relative position in the data source.

Installation

• The installer correctly installs the wpsso_v3.dll file required for SAP single sign on.

OrgTree

• Default OrgTree sorting matches the order of the data source.

Publish

• Closing the image downloader in the publish process no longer causes the PDF or PPT publish process to hang when publishing charts containing pictures.
• The top position of the sub-chart is correctly determined when a matrix manager's secondary reporting relationship is the top position and the sub-chart breaks are inserted in the published output every 4 levels.

Succession Planning

• Succession role settings are now correctly saved when navigating to among other tabs in the role settings.

Known Issues and Limitations:

Archive

• Matrix managers' primary reporting relationships are assigned based on the order in which the matrix managers appear in the data source when the data source is sorted in ascending order by the position and reports to fields.
• If a person holding the same position in multiple places in the hierarchy is replaced in 1 of the positions, the compare function reports the person as being deleted and as being moved.

Blueprint

• When Users with security access to multiple, separate root nodes in the hierarchy create a Blueprint using the displayed chart and including orphan records, the alternate root nodes appear in the staging area as orphan records.
• When a Blueprint or Succession Plan is created and that single plan contains duplicate records, and one of those duplicate records has subordinates reporting to them. The subordinates in the resulting blueprint or succession plan may appear reporting to the wrong manager. This can be determined based on where the subordinates are located in the hierarchy.
• The sort settings defined in a view are not applied to Blueprints
• Branch styles for peer groups in OPE, that is multiple groups of subordinates under a single manager, are not correctly rendered in Blueprints
• Publishing to PPT in Blueprint-errors can occur when publishing to PPT from BP. Some published PPT files produced can result in a transfer error between OWM and the Publish service.

Domain Refresh

• Displayed chart changes for users who remain logged in during a data refresh. Users must log out after a refresh and log back in again. The reference to the selected chart remains but the data refresh process redefines the position of boxes in the hierarchy structure

Duplicate records

• If the same key used to identify duplicate records is also used to identify open positions (i.e. person ID), then all open positions will be linked together as if they were duplicates.
• When there are multiple duplicate records reporting to the same manager, the order of the natural order of the duplicate records in OPE 4.0.2 will appear in the order in which the duplicates appear in the data source. This behavior differs from previous releases as in previous releases there was no order to the additional duplicate records.

Installation

• Folder structure is not completely removed when uninstalling OPE. Some image files in the help are not automatically deleted.

Publishing

• An exception can occur after publishing larger charts with pictures to PPT successively in excess of 10 times.

Succession Planning

• A server error occurs if the OPE/OWM versions are mismatched and the succession view is changed in the succession plan domain administration settings.

Domain Archiving

• Automatically capture versions of your domain on a scheduled basis and generate comparison reports to view changes made to your organization over time.

Succession Planning

• Create succession plans to identify key contributors within your organization.

Directory Search

• Phonetically search the directory for words that sound similar to the entered search text.
• The first search result is now highlighted when specifying the directory as the start page in the URL interface.

OrgTree

• Sort the OrgTree in the same way the chart is sorted.

Duplicate Records

• Define a primary reporting relationship for employees reporting to more than one manager.

Formulas

• The digits definition when rounding formula calculations now defines the number of digits in relation to a decimal point instead of from the beginning of the calculated value.
• Duplicates are now correctly excluded from counts and calculations

Saving and Publishing

• Alternate managers displayed as part of the box are now included in charts published to PDF using the "Displayed chart" option.
• The last refreshed date AutoText element is now included in published charts.
• The sub-chart name AutoText element is correctly displayed in charts published using the "Displayed Chart" option and or in charts published with less than 4 levels.
• Tables of contents and indexes that span multiple pages now have the title "Contents Continued" and "Index Continued" respectively.

Blueprint

• Restricted field names are no longer listed in the available fields lists when exporting to Excel or OPX.
• Blueprints containing mapped and merged fields can now be actioned internally.
• Viewing the chart of a directory search result does not affect the chart context when creating a new Blueprint.

Security

• Security role settings are correctly applied after enabling and disabling a role during the same user session.
• External links are now displayed correctly for users with access to multiple domains.

Views

• The state of the "Include date stamp when publishing and printing option" option is preserved after downloading and uploading template files.

Chart

• Alternate managers displayed in boxes are truncated if the alternate manager name exceeds the width of the box.
• Cell borders are correctly displayed for security-restricted fields.

Language

• Some corrections have been made to the existing French language translations.

Administration

• Internal users identified as Administrators are no longer prompted for a password when changing the password management configuration settings.

Known Issues and Limitations:

Domain Fields

• Removing a field from the domain that is used in the definition of a mapped field does not automatically remove the field from the mapped field definition; the mapped field definition must be updated after the field is removed from the domain.

Saving and Publishing

• Sub-chart breaks are not preserved when multi-record boxes are published to PDF and PowerPoint.

Blueprint

• Some box shadows appear incorrect in Blueprint charts published to PDF.

Groups

• Groups are applied incorrectly to charts having multiple, multi-record assistant boxes

Chart

• The "Ignore Margins" cell property in template files is not supported in this release of OrgPlus Enterprise.
