Luis Rivera joined the company as President in 2011, bringing with him over 17 years of experience in global market expansion, business development, mergers and acquisitions, business re-engineering, finance and investor relations. As CEO of online marketing services provider Lyris Inc, Luis grew company revenues from $4 million to $45 million and was recognized as one of the 100 most influential leaders in the 2010 Who's Who of B-to-B Magazine. Prior to that, Luis oversaw global business development and sales at Turbolinux, where he spearheaded the launch of international subsidiaries in Argentina, Australia, Germany and the UK. Luis also led international sales at IMSI, a publicly traded software publishing company, and led business development at @Road, a mobile resource management solution provider. Luis holds a BA from Claremont McKenna College.
Before joining HumanConcepts in 2003, Steve spent 10 years working in the medical software industry developing software products for radiologists and surgeons. Working with major companies, including Kodak and Imation, Steve specialized in producing complex fault tolerant software. Prior to working in the medical industry, Steve spent five years at Apple Computer designing and developing enterprise software. With a relentless drive to improve the success of the company and all of its partners, Steve continues to spearhead the strategic direction, product definition and leading-edge technology development at HumanConcepts. Steve Datnow holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Amit is responsible for the product and technology teams at the company where he has applied his 20 years of software development expertise to build our SaaS platform and capabilities. Prior to joining the company in 2008, Amit led the engineering team at Blackboard, where he delivered an Assessment, Accreditation and Analytics platform— a 150 man-year project—on-time and within budget. Previously he helped build a team and an enterprise SaaS application from the ground up which is now used in 32 countries. Amit has worked in the fields of international trade & compliance, computerized patient records, spatial databases and geographic information systems for varying size companies from startups to Sony. Amit also serves on Computer Science & Technology Program Advisory Board for Herzing University.
Jason joined HumanConcepts in 2012, and is currently responsible for all aspects of North America Sales. Jason has 12 years of sales management experience, with expertise in building and growing SaaS businesses. Most recently, Jason led a sales team for IBM’s fastest growing software group selling to CMOs. Previously, he has been instrumental in growing the SaaS business for online marketing service provider Lyris, Inc. Jason holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
Kirsten Smith has over 15 years of experience in software marketing in companies spanning startups to Fortune 500. She is experienced in all areas of marketing including brand strategy, SEO/SEM, web design, social media, public relations, collateral development, advertising, research, sales training, video/TV production, and events. Kirsten managed a large portfolio of products at Ubisoft Entertainment (including licensed brands such as CSI and The Amazing Race) and launched its most successful social product to date. Previously, Kirsten led marketing at FileTrail, an enterprise software company, and led a series of divisions at Mattel Interactive, where she achieved the #1 position for 3 separate software product lines over her 7-year tenure. Kirsten holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley and a BA with high honors from the University of California Santa Barbara.
Rana joined us in 2011, bringing more than 15 years of experience with prominent Human Capital Management (HCM) solution providers, including SuccessFactors, Infohrm and IDC. She oversees the Customer Account Management (CAM) group, working closely with marketing, sales and engineering to ensure our customers have an unparalleled user experience. An in-demand speaker at HR.com, IHRIM and SHRM industry conferences, Rana is a recognized subject matter expert and best practices champion in workforce planning, reporting and analytics.
